There are many national parks in India that preserve the wildlife of India but there are many people who do not know which is the first national park of India, they might be aware of the largest national park in India but they do not know about the first one. 
Then we have the answer to this question in this blog; people are often confused between several national parks like Kanha national park, Jim Corbett national park, Kaziranga National park, Satpura national park, and others but obviously, there is only one answer which is Jim Corbett national park.

Jim Corbett national park is the first national park of India which was established in 1936 as Hailey national park earlier and it is situated in the district of Nainital. Jim Corbett national park is a national park that was built to protect the threatened or endangered Bengal Tiger.

  1. You all must know that the national parks are the reserved areas that are made by the government for the safety as well as the betterment of the wildlife whose existence is threatened. 
  2. We can see that there is an extreme need to preserve the wildlife to maintain the balance in the environment and national parks fulfill this need to a large extent that is why after 1936 when the first national park was built many more national parks have been made and built in recent years and have been preserved too.
  3. There are in total 99 national parks in India which occupies almost 1.1% of the geographical area. 
  4. The establishment of these national parks is based on the acceptance of the government or we can also say it depends on the acceptance of the government that a park becomes a national park that is also a designated one. 
  5. There are many famous national parks in India which include national parks like Kanha national park, Kaziranga National park, Satpura national park and others too. 
  6. As citizens also it is our duty to preserve the wildlife in India to maintain the systematic balance in the environment and also maintain the ecological balance in nature.
